You're referring to the 'advanced search' I imagine................not to helping people with requests on the message boards, which I know you do, but it's a separate issue

I do a lot of searching and a name in the title would certainly make my job easier.
When I do a search GR tends to come up with many pages of results. It is frustrating having to open every result only to find out that it is a mismatch due to GR's poor search engine.

As one of those who tries to help, I open all threads, regardless of whether or not the title includes a name

I imagine every 'helper' does the same............after all, there are so few posts on the boards these days, so it doesn't take much time to open them all

What we DO need is for people who ask for help to give a clear idea of what they're looking for.....................and to say what they already know.

It is irritating to find info, only to be told..................'oh, I knew that'

How is putting the name in the title line going to make people open it?

I open them all, name or not as I would imagine any other helper would

The likelihood of anyone knowing them who uses this board on a regular basis is virtually nil....but the name can be picked up on google searches if they are lucky

If the person you are looking for has name on the subject you will catch more attention as some peeps just scroll down and might open up if they can see what's what straight away ;-)
