Thank you very much for your reply. They definitely didn't divorce as we remained in contact with her husband, Samuel. I have pulled together the little information I have from my Mum and from the Scotland's People website. I thought it was worth putting it on here also. She is registered as a missing person, but if she did leave and set up a completely new identity for herself maybe over the years she shared information with someone who may just look on here and make the connection? Maybe not! But this has troubled us for so long we reckon anything is worth a try. It's just so frustrating to see a birth and marriage certificate and then nothing - just no trace.

Have you found that they divorced?

She may have gone off with someone and not married them but was known by the new surname .

Afraid its not viable to look for her if she stayed in Scotland because you probably aware those records arent subs site.

Born 1938 she could well be still alive

I am looking for anyone who may have information on Esther (my Aunt). She went missing from Port Glasgow/Greenock, Scotland in Nov 1965 and has never been heard from since. She was married to Samuel Mersy in Port Glasgow in 1962. Her maiden name was Fulton. She was born in Feb 1938 and was 27 when she disappeared. She would be 75 now.

Any information anyone can offer would be much appreciated.
