When were they born Katherine? There is a Lesley P. Lewis born Surrey 1959, might that be her?

It's not in search trees - you can find births up to about 1960 on Freebmd:

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

If you specify births surname Lewis, mother's surname Brown, and Surrey, you will see the births. If this is them, they all have a middle initial.

Do you know when Colin and Joan died? If up to 2006, it might be possible to find reference on Ancestry. Exact birth dates would help! For the parents, not the daughters, I hasten to add).

Might this be their marriage(s), and Colin's death? Bit of a guess:

Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1952

Another complete guess - might seem a bit mad, but she wouldn't be the first to swop her names around! I was drawn because Kingston became part of Surrey North Eastern in 1943, where the Brown/Minchin marriage took place.

Unless I have the wrong couple entirely of course!!

Births Dec 1920 (>99%)
Brown Gertrude J A Hicks Kingston 2a 826

Well, I would recommend getting Colin's death cert to see who registered it - usually a relative. If one of his daughters you will get her married name, if applicable, and an address for her.
Katherine, just a tip - don't start more than one thread about the same family, as it leads to people doing unnecessary research.
