Have you added yourself to the national adoption contact register?

Have you checked in 'search all trees'?

Hi I am trying to find my half- sister. She was born Janice Ford in March 1957 and was adopted soon afterwards, possibly by a family named Bennett? Her birth was registered at Wincanton. Our mother's name was Joyce Ford ( maiden name Dyer). I don't know if this was a private adoption?
