My niece is trying to trace her biological mother Margaret Jones. She was named Sarah Jane Jones and was born in 1972 in Kirby Liverpool. She thinks her father was called David and that she has an older sister. Any information would be appreciated. |

Linda, with such a common name your niece will need more information I think. |

If she is your niece, her mother or father must be your sibling |

A niece can also be a daughter of a sibling-in-law. |

In that case, Rose, wouldn't the OP have said 'my husband's niece'? |
