It's always best to write rather than phone. The Addressee has a chance to think about their response especially if the contact is a complete surprise.

As Rose thinks that they at an address in Tewksbury rather than Norwich, its best to keep the initial letter general, explaining who you are and who you are looking for and why. Enclosing a stamped addressed envelope often encourages a reply.

If you write your own return address on the back of the envelope you send, it they have moved there is a greater chance that your letter will be returned.

The partial address is Tewkesbury GL20

The free phone book on line http://www.thephonebook.bt.com isn't throwing up any Fultons with that information. It could be that they have gone ex-directory.

I can see now how that might have come across to Eunice.

Enice - don't worry about Rose' statement under 'Researching'. Many novice posters assume that because a fellow member has found some info for them, they must be related. Rose has tried to pre-empt that assumption.

As Rose has suggested, try searching http://www.192.com/ which are the modern Electoral Roll 2002-2013. Many people have chosen not to have their names shown on the commercial lists. Luckily Joseph and Janet haven't opted out.

192.com is pay to view the details - there are no subscription packages although someone with a sub to a different site may be able to find the address for you

No one is suggesting that your husband has another wife..........

Members are just advising you that another GR member has Joseph Fulton born 1945 in their tree and that he can also be found on 192.com.

If you click on "Search Trees" above.........and then "Search All Trees" from the drop down menu, you will be able to find out who has Joseph in their tree and you can then contact the tree owner if you wish to do so.
