I am trying to trace Harry Dearman's wife who came from Belgium. I believe they were married at the end of WW2 in Belgium possibly in the Ostend area. Can someone please point me in the right direction.

It this is Harry’s death and probate, she may have remarried

England & Wales, National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations), 1858-1966

Harry George Dearman
Probate Date: 13 Jul 1949

There doesn’t seem to be any children of this marriage. If you want to check that it is the correct couple, then purchase the MC from GRO. The references needed are on freebmd.

Could we ask how you are related, or the reason for the request please?

Harry George Dearman was my husband's mother's brother. The details of his death are correct. Many thanks again for your help.

There is a marriage for a Lydia M Dearman in 1983, but with a 2nd marriage the index normally gives the brides previous names which this one doesn't.

Will PM details. Under the married name, there is a listing on 192.com to 2006, likely to be living in Windsor. Assuming this is the correct person, she might have since died, or opted out of the commercial listing ER.

I will follow the Windsor trail and see if any details come up

Many thanks
