I did a google search - well, you never know! - and found this. I assume this is you posting:

Why do you think she went to Canada?

Rachel, if you are certain she was adopted at an early age then her name will of course have changed.
You can find her only if she is looking for her birth family.
I would try check other members' trees for her details, just on the off-chance. And put your details on the National Adoption Register.

Hi trying to trace half adopted sister she was born 14 dec 1961 in Blackburn named karen,to irene Evans ,I am daughter of birth father tony fenton who was not on cert as they were not married and were forced to have her adopted , I'm desperate to find her she will be 51 now
