I've just got the marriage certificate for Bernard and Rosemary and his father was George W Bradshaw who had already died at age 38 which would make him the George who was born in 1897. I also found Amy as a possible sibling and have messaged the person who has her on their tree but have had no reply. I also found some people who may possibly be Amy's descendants and have messaged the relevant people there but no reply as yet.

The possibility of a second marriage for George hadn't occurred to me but if it's right then it would explain several things which I had while growing up. I'll look into that one. And I have no idea whether Bernard remarried after Rosemary died. He disappeared and was never spoken of again. My family is one big tangled web which is very hard to unwind so it's taking me quite a while to do anything. Your information has given me some new areas to explore so thank you very much.

And Graham has Bernard on his tree after getting him from me. We share another connection through my husband's family and I think he was just keeping his tree up to date.

Have you got the marriage cert because that will give his age at marriage and his fathers name if known

I am trying to locate any relatives of Bernard or anyone who may know anything about his family. Bernard is/was my father and may still be alive but he should certainly have other relatives who are living. Bernard was born in Lincoln in 1925 and married a Rosemary Lanes in 1947. She died in 1948. I have no information about my father's side of the family and am looking to find the other side of the story.
