Any chance it was David? They did marry the year after you were born?

Another thought!! have you got your adoption file. You are entitled to have it. Maybe he was named in the file

If he isnt named on your birth cert and mum wont give his name then it would seem you are stuck .sorry.

Is there another family member who can help ?

Hi ,i am looking for my biological father. I was born 26/04/61 to Jill Avery who lived at muswell hill, london. I was christened Christopher Mark Avery but was adopted roughly six months later and my surname changed to Porter. Jill was married to David Tarpey but they divorced and soon after she married Steve Millard ,of whom she is still married to.Twenty six years ago i was reunited with jill after a bit of searching on my part.Jill had a sister called Joyce and her step-father was George,he also lived in muswell hill. During our first few meetings Jill asked me if i would like to meet my father, who she told me still lived locally. At that time i said no as my adopted dad was still alive. During the next few years we spoke now and again on the phone but for some reason things seemed an effort on both sides.I would like to trace my biological father before time runs out as curiosity now has got the better of me but jil does not reply to my request to give me his name.Any help would be gratefully chris
