Do you have anything else whatsoever? An address might help, names of parents or siblings? Don't put on here, obviously!
Why do you think the marriage took place during those years?

thanks Jan,dragged the info from my mum regarding my father.I have looked in scotlands people but never found anything,The marriage must have taken place about 43-44.there again my mother could have lied to save her embaressment.I have tried spelling variations on both surnames.

Where did you get your info from Neil?
You need to find his marriage if you can, by searching on ScotlandsPeople site. Bear in mind that unless you know otherwise, Annie might be Ann(e) and Carr spelt Kerr!
There happens to be an Anne W. Carr/Robert P. White marriage in England in 1957. Names are probably a co-incidence, and the year is way out. but as it's in Northumberland I thought I'd mention it as not too far from Scotland!

What is the reason for this search?

Can I guess that it's a paternity issue?

Unless you can say when and where he was born, the name is too common for any realistic research

I am looking for information about Robert White, he was a bus driver in the Dumfries/Powfoot area about 1943-44
