may have found a lead.

go to this site and set up a free account http://www.mundia.com

put in Mary Dooley dob 1936 you will find one that was born in England and died Western Australia 2009. Click on this link . The dob matched that given on the immigration records. I have contacted the person including a link to this page but you may want to contact them direct. the tree only has 3 people on it (2 private) but worth a go. It belongs to "bringbeghthehorizon"

the other good thing about this is we know they lived in WA so you can ask the WA State library to look at the recent electrol rolls for you.

this is here cemetery record

SCOTT MARY THELMA 73 years 2009 KOONDOOLA

with this information the white pages comeinto their own

http://www.whitepages.com.au

put in J Scott and koondoola WA and a few 'hits' worth following up occur.

The JA Scott in Marangaroo is worth contacting... although not Koondoola it is on the same telephone exchange ........and just down the road from where I live :-)

Do not know what to suggest now. Still cannot find hide nor hair of them... Because the flew into Perth ( first port of call into Australia) there will be landing records in our State library but for all the dozens of aircraft landings that I have looked at , none give the intended destination or forwarding address. If all else fails then you could contact our State library aand get them to look, just in case.......

The immigration records are sealed , but you could also ask the national archives if they could give any info, like intended state of settlement. Not sure of the restrictions of having them opened. The restrictions vary to different records.

Have you tried Facebook? If you put 'Julian Scott Australia' in search box there is just one result - but worth a try!

found the immigration record......

A1877 10 JANUARY 1966 SCOTT J A SCOTT Julian Arthur born 1936; Mary Thelma (nee Dooly) born 1936; Julian Henry born 1963; Julie Murial born 1963; travelled per aircraft departing UK on 10 January 1966 under the Assisted Passage Migration Scheme
Access status: Not yet examined
Location: Canberra
1965 - 1966 7411813

removed DOB's. but Julie and Julian are twins ( not that I hadn't guessed :-) )
that was a toughy.... now to start a different search...... :-)

Do you know what the T in Mary's name stood for if it was Thelma, then this is possibly her

SCOTT Mary Thelma Probate notice 10JUN2005 Publication late of Delungra Inverell Times 10JUN2005 ( this cannot be conclusive because I have also found two woman same name buried in WA)

coming up blank big time. There is a Mary T Scott leaving Uk in 1957 to go to NZ on FMP. Unfortunately I do not have a subscription for this site so cannot see who was travelling with her... Dates are not quite correct but need excluding...........
If they emigrated to South Australia then very little will be found, aND Unfortunatley the children were to young to appear on online electrol rolls. I did find a random Graham .C. Scott in NZ assuming he would have taken on the same surname as his siblings.

the only thing I can suggest is you use a "ask a libarian ' service In a State Libary. Not sure how they will respond as you do not know what State they went to . I would be asking them to follow the two children ( have to be 18 to appear on the rolls) because mum and dad do not appear on the online rolls.....
