I have recently discovered a half brother and would like to contact him. Can anyone give me some TIPS on approaching this as I am unsure if he is aware that he has a half sister.

A professional intermediary could approach the other side of the family for you. They follow careful guidelines. A social worker should be able to put you in touch with the agency which acts as go-between.

Hi Maureen,
You could try writing a letter.
I have been in your situation, and I was one of the lucky ones,my baby brother as I call him,is so lovely,so funny,
and the amazing thing is he looks more like me,than my other 2 full brothers.
My tip is expect nothing, you wont be disappointed then.
I wish you luck.
:-D <3
Just to say,my new brother, didnt have a clue that he had a sister, and 2 other brothers.
He was totally unaware of us.
