I have been on white pages & have now got an address. He is still on the original phone number as 10 yrs ago. Unsure wheather i should ring or write ? I'm thinking of his age. So tempting to just pick up the phone. :-)

Have managed to find an e-mail address, so have sent him e-mail. Fingers crossed he will get back to me.

Thankyou for all your help, i appreciate it. :-D

The resemblence is uncanny, i thought i may be clutching at straws, but i also have a photo of my nans brother Peter, & the likeness is very similar, the ears & cheeky grin, i can't thank you enough for this.

Sorry again, i 'm in shock i think, i have looked at the first link you sent me, it is certainly somewhere to start from. Thankyou, i so appreciate this, i'm just lost for words at the moment.

Think i will be making a phone call tomorrow, i shall let you know how things go.

Hi Tenko,

Thanks for your reply, i appreciate it.
Yes, that would make sense actually, as i have found nothing on the grourke i'm looking for. Its as though he didn't exist before his marriage cert.
I think i will have another look for him with the O' rourke name & see what turns up.
Thanks again

reading through your post it looks as though Grourke has been a miss spelling for O`rourke. hope it helps you

Hi all,
Could i ask for help on this one please, i have no information other than what was written on a peice of paper & posted through my door.
Thomas Fennelly married Shiela Rourke in 1962 or 3. in Sydney, & that is where they lived till she died, he is still alive.
It says that Sheilas father was a Grourke, but dropped the G, reason unknown.
Puzzled by this one for obvious reasons, but i have been looking for both Fennelly & Grourke from my mothers side, but her family originate from Ireland, where i had been hitting a brick wall.
Advice & help would be appreciated on this one please.
