You can't see death certificates for free.

You can order certificates from -

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/

The Government's own official website for birth, marriage and death certificates for England and Wales. Certificates from £9.25 inc. postage.

This is the only place you should get them from because they are more expensive if you use any other service.

If that is the corect Rita, then the death certificate will give address, informant's name, widow, etc etc, for useful information.

Also a lot of my family on my dad's side have died young, which is why I thought they probably weren't still alive.

Kenneth would be my great great uncles son, there may be descendants still alive in the area. Hope so. Oh what a shame about Rita! They probably did stay in the area, a lot of the family I know about were in Birkenhead until much much later. And I'm still here now!
Thank you

Lots of people are still alive at 92, and if she is younger she is easily still alive.
How are you related to them?
Thank-you.

Added:
However, if they stayed in the area:
Rita Kennedy
Birth Date: 18 Nov 1924
Date of Registration: Oct 1997
Age at Death: 72
Registration district: Birkenhead
Inferred County: Cheshire
Register Number: B30B
District and Subdistrict: 0371B
Entry number: 203

Yeh Kenneth j Kennedy. I don't know when they died. Would imagine they have though he was born in 1920. Anywhere you can see death cents for free?

patchem

patchem Report 6 Jul 2012 21:37

Do you know when the parents died, and so could see who was the informant on the death certificate for a possible relative?

Added:
Or are they both still alive?

Is he actually Kenneth J Kennedy?

Thank you
I have contacted some people with certain names in their tree. I live in Birkenhead now as do my family. I know a few Kennedy's live around that area. Could be related :/

It would be highly unlikely anyone would know them

There is someone who may have been born late 1954 but registered march 1955 who has a tree on here you could try and contact him
