as Kathryn's birth mother is a GR member
but you say you just found out about Kathryn ?

Yet you knew about, who I assume, is her brother Phillip.

Thanks Jan, I contacted the Local Authority & gave them all the info I had & they have passed the details on to the records dept so hopefully something may turn up from that. Will try your other 2 suggestions now, thank you very much

Angela, have you tried putting your name on the National Adoption Register?
You might also contact Social Services for advice as to whether there is anything more you can do, also the charity NORCAP (just google it).

I only know limited info about kathryn but do know she was born in October 1968 at St Mary's Hospital, Manchester. I believe she was adopted before 6 weeks old to either a Jewish or catholic couple.Her birth mother lived in the Beswick/Gorton/Openshaw area around the time of her birth. I am aware of her full date of birth and her birth parents full names. I have only just found out about Kathryn's existence and desperate to contact her. Please if you are Kathryn or know of Kathryn, please contact me.
