Have you asked your S I L for more info?

She must know when and where she last saw her 'friend', and have an idea of her age

You say 'they' came to the UK- do you mean only the siblings? Or the whole family?

have you looked in search trees? The obvious first place to try...........

If you sister-in-law is 74, then she was born in 1938.
Dollar was born.....193?
Freddie was born....193?
Freddie died....197?
Do you know where they lived in this country when they first arrived?

Could you also change your heading to incorporate India, so that people with detailed knowledge could advise on any records, including if she returned there?

Dollar would not have been born here.
Unfortunately do not have parents name.
I do not know where I can go with this as I have so little to go on.
Dollar's brother Freddie Matthew's died but we do not have the year.70,s maybe.
Dollar is the last link to my husband so eager to find her.
Thanks for the help.

Having checked, I'm surprised at the number of instances of the name Dollar

Ask your sister in law if she has any more info - for example, was this girl older or younger than she was when she knew her?

Also the names of the girl's parents...........and when she last saw Dollar

So, she is no relation to you, which means you have no way of verifying info.

The forename you give is unlikely, to say the least.

When was she supposed to have come to the UK?

As far as I know that is how it is spelt.
My sister in-law was friends with her in India. my sister in-law is 74.
Dollar would also know Peggy West, Kathleen Flynn and Cynthia.
