Does any one know how long social services keep records of fostering as I have a cousin who would like to see her records from the late forties maybe someone will know Thank you

It depends on if her fostering was done though an organisation such as Barnados if so they could still hold records of under care,,,,,or apply to the area--county council where she was fostered in,,,,,,late 40s came under Welfare and their records could be archived so may take an age to track down --if they have survived, not all have.
