I wonder what park it was! Our local parks in Kings Heath were Kings Heath Park (not very original!) and Uffculme Park, now Highbury. I went to school just round the corner from KH Park, Colmore Road Primary, so needless to say this did make me wonder if it was this school you mean. There is a long road which runs the length of this park called Avenue Road. d.
Just reminiscing a bit!

If you look in free bmd for births in Birmingham (Birmingham (1837-1924), Birmingham (1932 onw), Birmingham North, Birmingham South) and Kings Norton from 1915 to 1930, you only have 2 births with that name, Christopher E in 1918 and Christopher G in 1927.

This could be the death of Christopher E:
Christopher Ernest Hodges
Birth Date: 20 Dec 1917
Date of Registration: Oct 1994
Age at Death: 76
Registration district: Bromsgrove
Inferred County: Worcestershire
Register Number: 29C
District and Subdistrict: 5121A
Entry number: 139

Eunice has Marie Fulton from Dunmurry in her tree, and Eunice born there also for reference. (About 5 miles outside Belfast?)

You need to pin down a yob, even if approx. One would suspect he was born in a similar era to your mother.

You can search for births on Freebmd.org.uk or on this site for births in England and Wales.

Is your father named on your BC, or is that part of the problem? You say 'over here'. Does that mean that you and your mother weren't normally resident in England/Wales?

One would suspect that Chris was short for Christopher, although it could be the diminutive of another name, or the name he went by (2nd name for instance)

There is possibility that a Court Order may have been made against him for maintenance, although someone else would have to advise how to research for that.

Your search could be like entering a mine field, especially as any living relatives may not know of your existance. Unless you can find documentary proof that he is your father, you may need their co-operation for DNA tests.
