Was the male actually registered as 'Jim'?

I am trying to locate my two cousins Jim Parkinson dob 1936 and Mavis Parkinson dob 1938 both born in Liverpool but lived in Rochdale father George brother to my mother Adelaide McCann Nee Parkinson. Any one out there know them or where they might be?
