You could also try friendsreuntied and see if anyone registered lives in the road or still has connections there and may know what happened to your grandfather.

patchem, thank you for your reply, that death is earlier than we thought it would be (mum see the announcement in our local paper) it is a possibility though i guess she remembers that him and his wife Kathleen (Kit) died in quite quick concession of eachother as she see the advertisement for both of them.

Thank you for your reply, we did write to the address and the ER one you mention 2002-2009 is the orchard road address and the letter came back with a sticker on saying addressee gone away??

There is an entry on 192.com on the ER roll 2002-2009. Since you last knew of their whereabouts in 2008, this could be the same address.

Have you written to the people who now own Orchard Road? If they are the same people, they may have a forwarding address, or possibly the name of your grandfather's solicitor who might be willing to pass on a letter.

Im trying to help my mum find her birth father of whom she hasnt seen for about 20 years. He was a keen pigeon racer and was last known in Barking, Essex.

His name is Robert Alan Stevens born 1944, his parents were Kenneth Stevens and Kathleen Luscombe. He had an older brother named Kenneth T Stevens born 1942 and a younger sister named Kathleen M Stevens born 1946.

Robert married my nan Shirley Toner in 1964, then married Jasmine Chamberlain (stage name Jasmine Trevanna, maiden name Biswas) in 1968, however this ended very quickly when she died in 1969 aged just 30 caused by swallowing the meths used during one of her acts, she was a fire eater. He then married Mary K Wiggett (maiden name Miller) in 1990.

Mary had children from a previous marriage thought to be Kerri Wiggett and Kathleen Wiggett (there maybe more)

There last known address is the one in Orchard Road, Dagenham but they moved from there about 2008.

His parents lived on Canvey but both passed away in the last 10 years (year unknown)

A lead i had through the pigeon racing thing has advised that he is no longer doing pigeon racing and is thought to have moved to Canvey (possibly because of his parents?) or Clacton.
