Find Living Relatives

I'm looking for Ellen Price, I think her husband is called Dennis. She was born around 1938/1941 in London. Also her sister Jo (Josephine), though I believe her birth name was Eileen Smith, don't know her married name, just that she lived in Hackney in 1985 with her son Harvey.

If any one can help, I'd be so grateful, I don't have many details.

I think she married in York in 1957 and stayed in Yorkshire. She had 4 children, 3 daughters and a son. I'm hoping finding her could lead to finding Jo as I have no idea what her married name is :-(

Ellen would appear to be Rose E Smith, and her husband probably Dennis A S Price.

As you can imagine there are quite a few births in the Yorkshire area for Price/Smith. However, there seem to be 3 in Howden, and I will pm these births. Of interest is the fact that one of these could tie in with the same person that has the possible Dennis in their tree.

I have a match for 3 girls and a boy in Huddersfield, will pm these also.
At least one of these has a husband in several trees on here.

Thank you so much. I am their niece, I know there were a few more siblings, but I only know (met) Jo/Eileen and Ellen.

It's definitely the first family, the children's names are Carol, Margaret, and twins Dawn and David. I have written to the Carol with the corresponding names in her tree.

All I have for Jo/Eileen is that she lived in Hackney, East London in 1985 (as did some of her other siblings) and I believe she had lived there for many years. Harvey was her only child and must have been born before 1967, and I think after 1961 (sorry it's so vague).

I don't know if Josephine is a middle name or just a chosen name, but not her first name, it was Eileen Smith when she was younger.

So grateful for any help, feels like looking for a needle in a haystack!

Do you know if Harvey was his first name, or possibly a middle name as his Mother and aunt seem to swap around the order?
Was he definitely born in the Greater London area?
(Smith is not the best surname to pick)

The marriage to Dennis Price is for a Rose E Smith.
There is only one birth for that name from 1937 to 1942 in London, but no Jo/Eileen with same surname combinations.

If you are their niece, is your Mother or Father also a Smith, or by marriage?

My father was Smith too, but I'm not trying to find him (Charles W. Smith, I don't have an age for him either though and it isn't possible for me to ask him any questions). Smith isn't the easiest!

I don't know if Jo/Eileen was married. The family was based in East London/ Essex/Romford area as far as I know. The only other very vague thing that I know, is that it was a large family, but half brothers and sisters, but I don't even know from which parent so it isn't very useful and just sounds more muddled!

Could you give a rough guess for father's birth year, or not possible at all?

If you get the marriage certificate for Ellen to Dennis it will have her Father's name on it, which could be a help.

I've sent for my parents certificate, so should get my grandfather's name from that when it arrives. I have no idea how old my father is, just that he was older than my mother who was born in 1947.
