Hello, I was born in March 1970 to June Low from Dundee and adopted at birth. I know that June also had another child, Keith, who was born in 1968 but not given up for adoption. Unsure about my biological father but do know from my adoption records that he was a foreman in a screw factory in the Dundee area, don't have his name though. I would like to try and trace my father and any other family members - can anyone help?
Caroline Low is the name that I was given at birth by my biological mother.
Thanks.

Googling on "screw factory" +Dundee [UK-pages-only] throws up on the second page http://tinyurl.com/gere002 . Edit-find "screw" on that page brings you to a posting by iv_lisa which includes " ... in Dundee ... I had to work out by the Kingsway at a screw factory called Holocrome ..." (NB the same google search page also throws up http://tinyurl.com/gere001 edit-find "screw" brings up another posting by the same poster - but that one doesn't mention the factory name).

http://www.holo-krome.com/contact.html would appear to be the US parent of the Dundee factory listed there.

Now you need someone who worked there who has a long memory ... no ideas at the moment on that.

Now sure how, if he isn't named, you'd track him down.

By perseverance and lateral thinking. Googling on various combinations of "employed/worked/career/retired/* with/at/by/for/from/* Holocrome/Holochrome/Holokrome" [UK-only pages] and seeing what comes up. Eg http://www.cac.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=2781&p=0 (dated 1975) mentions "five [un-named] foremen" and the name of the trade union seeking recognition, so another round of googling with the name or abbreviation of that Union with holoc/k/chrome may lead on....
