Why are you having trouble with the father? If you find his marriage to Ethel and buy the cert you will learn out how old he was, and his father's name, and you can work back from there

The easy answer is to buy Anthony's death cert to find out who the informant was.

Look on the Glosbmd site to see if there is a marriage for him

Only legitimate children can be traced, so if he didn't marry.....................

Have you looked to see if anyone on here has either of them in their trees?
Is his Mother still alive?
Who was the informant on the death certificate?
Do you know of any definite marriage?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any children born to Anthony James Watkins born on 11th November 1942 Died in 1989 His mothers name was alice Ethel Watkins. They lived in the Cheltenham in Gloucester area.
I've started a family tree but keep drawing a blank. Tonys father Thomas John Watkins was in the Royal Armoured Corps but keep hitting a wall there too.
I'd appreciate any kind of positive lead. :-0
