We are trying to get in contact with Dennis Brandwood, who together with his brother Peter were connected to the Climo family in Plymouth.

Dennis was last thought to be living in Toronto, Canada (1976).

Many thanks Penny, yes we have managed to find many relatives of my wife back to the 1470's nearly all form the Bodmin area... Vida was my wifes Grandmother, Beryls mother!

Hilda Climo & Beryls mother (Lilian Vida Climo )were sisters
both Lilian and Hilda died,

Their brother , John Leonard Climo and his wife took on both sets of children when this happened.

Beryl and her sister Sheila were adopted by John Leonard Climo and his wife, and took on the Climo name, but it would seem that Dennis and Peter Brandwood retained their surnames.

and in 1956, Beryl, now using the surname of her Uncle( also the maiden name of her late mother) has a daughter of her own.

Beryl marries in 1957 in Plymouth, using the name Climo.

Yes Penny thats all correct, we have at this time been unable to establish if Beryl and her sister Sheila were officially adopted by John Leonard Climo and his wife or just unofficially took on the Climo name again.
