Looking for a lady called Margaret Cunningham who acted as a Godmother for a baby called Dymphna Gormley in April 1969. The baptism took place at St Benedicts RC Church Handforth, Wilmslow. I do not know if this was her married or maiden name. She may have been a friend of a lady called Phyllis Gormley.

The baby was subsequently adopted.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Julie,

Could this lady have just worked at Knowle House in Handforth at the time Phyllis was there, and are any other godparents named on the christening record who could give more clues?

Is it her you are trying to find or Phyllis? It's just virtually impossible to check Margaret out without an idea of her age or marital status.
