I am looking for descendants of my uncle Bede Cameron. He was a marine engineer. married an Ada Campbell and had a son Robert. They lived on Pittwater Rd Mona Vale Sydney NSW. Bede was cremated at the Northern Suburbs Crematorium in 1976. My mother ,Dorothy, was his sister. The son was born,I think, in 1925.

Any info would be helpful

Could you put NSW or Australia in your heading, so that people with knowledge of Australia can see and help you?
Thanks

Hi Robert

The NSW/BMD (on-line) shows an Edward B Cameron married Ada F Campbell 1923. (note spelling 'Edward')

Also has ...Edwin Bede Cameron d 1976 (reg.no 20597/1976 (parents Thomas Graham & Margaret).

The 'National Archives of Aus' (on-line) shows Edwin Bede Cameron b Sydney 12/4/1894 enlisted 1914 in Brisbane ....father's address (Thomas Graham Cameron) in Townsville. (Edwin's army records are on-line).

A 'transcription' (cost approx $19) of Edwin's d cert should reveal names & ages of all his off-spring. (hopefully a 'middle' name for your Robert)

The 'NSW State Library' and 'QLD State Library' have an 'Ask a Librarian' service ... they will check the electoral rolls (past & present) ...though probably not just for a 'Robert Cameron' (possibly too many of them).

Re Ada F Cameron ... there are a few possible deaths for 'Ada' ..... (NSW/BMD) (parents' names would help) and on 'Ryerson's Index ....but a 'middle' name would certainly help (need more than an 'F'). (Edwin's d cert should have it).
