MILLS Elizabeth B MOORE Bristol 7b 354
MOORE George A MILLS Bristol 7b 354

Elizabeth Blanche Moore
Birth Date: 21 Mar 1909
Date of Registration: Jan 1991
Age at Death: 81
Registration district: Bristol
Inferred County: Gloucestershire
Volume: 22

Edit - A birth REGISTERED in the June quarter covers April, May and June. If a child was born 21 March, they had 6 weeks to register her birth, hence it might have been registered in April.

There is one Moore/Mills daughter born in Bristol reg 1954, but Elizabeth would have been in her 40's. Possible but ?? Will PM as probably living.

You could purchase the DC and see if the informant was a relative.

Why have you deleted your previous thread about these people?

The rule about not posting duplicates doesn't mean delete and ask again

There are probable marriages for both on freebmd

To find out if they are the correct ones, you will need to purchase the certs

Is this info duplicated Reggie? If so, I'll not bother looking for Charles!

Hi DET

No, the marriage info wasn't posted - it was unnecessary, as it is on freebmd, where I advised Baz to look.

The death you posted is obviously useful confirmation

OK - to confirm and allow Baz to limit the searches on freebmd.

The probable marriage for Charles Frederick Mills is in 1945 in Bristol Reg.

Use this link http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl
Select mariages >surname Mills > First name Charles F
Date range (default Mar) 1945 to (default Dec) 1945.
District > Bristol

Then 'find'.

There is only one result. Click on the number in blue. That will give you the names of the couple married.

Sackcloth and ashes time!

Abject apologies to Baz.

The previous thread had not been deleted - the Advanced search isn't working properly. (What has gone wrong with this site since I was last here?)

But the advice about searching still applies

His probable death is also on freebmd. This time select deaths, a date range 1947-1957 (to give you some practise) and reg district Bristol. Only one result.

Using the mother's (spouse) maiden name from the marriage, start a new birth search.

This time put only the surname Mills, then fill in the mother's maiden name. date range 1945-1957 and see what (if any) results you get.

You could expand your search for all reg district but consider that any results need to be in the Bristol general georgraphical area.

Of course, being at the end of WW2, there is the possibilty that they lived elsewhere!
