Thanks everyone, very helpful !

Cynthia, it's my girlfriends family, her mother was a T-W-F. Very easy family to research the history of ! Ranulph Fiennes has written most of it in a book and the tree is on Thepeerage.com ( from Burkes peerage)

Kevin, the baptisms of the three children are online - St. George's Leeds.

There is also much about the Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes family on line including some family tree research.

It's quite an interesting family history, are you related to them?

Hi Kevin
The NSW/BMD is on-line ......Ryerson's Index is too ...it shows John Charles Wright's death 31/12/1953 ..age 77yrs (notice in the SMH 1/1/1954.

Ryerson's show Dorothy Margaret Isobel Wright d 14/11/1961 age 93 at Wimbledon UK ..notice in SMH 17/11/1961.

Son Bertram John Fiennes Wright m 1948 Nancy Noreen Dangar
(NSW/BMD)
Ryerson's show Bertram John Fiennes Wright d 24/4/2001 agee 98 SMH 26/4/2001.
(couldn't see 'Nancy Noreen Wright' in Ryersons Index)

Ryerson's do 'look-ups' ..from newspapers (Sydney Morning Herald etc)
You MAY find Bertram John Wright's family names from death notices.

The 'State Library of NSW' -on-line ..has an 'Ask a Librarian' service ..they will check their records including electoral rolls (past & present) ... helpful for tracing any (male) descendants.

Hi Kevin, I imagine you have googled for info on this gentleman? There is absolutely loads about him......right down to the house he bought in 1914 and which is supposed to be haunted!

Seems as though he had one son and three daughters. If you have their names that would be a start.

There are several Oz researchers on the Find Ancestors board who would be able to advise you further.

It was interesting to see that he was born just 10 minutes away from where I am!

Most Reverend John Charles Wright married Dorothy Margaret Isobel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes October 1893. They went to Australia where he held the post of Archbishop of Sydney.
I'm looking for descendants, where would one start to look ?!? I've no experience of Aussie records..
