I found the wrong Geoffrey A Marriott, as the one I found had been married since 1965.

There is another Geoffrey A Marriott showing on 192.com electoral register in Nottingham for 2002-2003, and 2006, but there is no indication that he is the correct age:

He's on Ancestry ( did wonder if Geoffrey was spelled differently but its not) Q1, 1942, Leicester

His name was not changed after birth as he married in 1968 in Worthing and divorced around 1972 under his birth name. (From a pm)

His Mother Helena appeared to have married Mr Mannion in 1952, and the link that Rose posted was to her death where no children are mentioned.
