Hi,
I'm new to this family tree stuff and not very good at it.

Anyhow....I'm curious to know if there's anyone out there related to my mother who's maiden name is Brenda Wicks. She has 8 siblings and the family home that I remember was in Hounslow, Middlesex.
Her parents were Stanly and Elen (spelling?)

Any help or contact would be appreciated.
Thank you and once again...Hello to all
:-)

Carole, I recommend that you go looking for contacts - use 'search trees' above.

Do you know when and where Brenda was born?

EDIT Might have them, can PM details if you wish, but if your mother is deceased OK to put on here.

Hi Jan,
Have attempted this but don't have enough details like DOB etc so have just gone round in circles. Sent 2 messages thinking there was a link but they appear unopened as of yet.
Thanks for your reply. I'll keep trying.

For information, for correct spellings, this looks like the marriage:
Marriages Sep 1934
Dearman Ellen Wicks Brentford 3a 628
Wicks Stanley G Dearman Brentford 3a 628,
but can only see 5 or possibly 6 children in free bmd

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

Added:
Ancestry gives 2 more children.

There are 2 later births in Ealing not Brentford - same or different family?

Jan, I think she was born in 1942 and the family home was Hounslow but not sure if she was born there.
Any help would be great. PM if you have other useful resources....also don't know if she's still around. Thanks again.
:-D

I have sent details of above by PM plus poss birth for Brenda. Sorry Patchem, didn't see your reply! I am sure this is the couple as they had 9 children. Have also advised Carole how to use Freebmd.

Birth for Brenda registered in 1943, so perhaps born December 1942?

I bet!

Births Mar 1915 (>99%)
Dearman Ellen Cook Brentford 3a 160

I think the Wick/Dearman children are from this marriage:
Marriages Mar 1937
Wick Joseph Dearman Royston 3a 1919

Ancestry gives Pamela and Montgomery born in Brentford who do not show on free bmd.

You both are brilliant. All the names you've given me so far are spot-on. Thanks for everything so far. I'll let you know when I've had a look which will take me ages as I'm not great at this but am determined now you've given me some hope.

Thank you both very much. :-)
