Hi Can any body help with long lost relatives in California possibly La Mirada.

Cheryl Lyn Hartwell or Darrell Gordon Whittington they are brother and sister.

On Whitepages.com, there is a Darrell G Whittington listed in Downey CA. Unfortuantely that entry is a pay to view. His age is given as 58. Would that be correct?

Similarly, Cheryl Lyn Hartwell is listed as aged 62 in Whittier, CA amongst other places

Look here - both are listed on a property site. You might be able to work something out from that

Also look for Cherlyn on http://www.lookupanyone.com - it gives family names assciated with her.

You could try looking to all the names on Facebook - any younger generation names be on there.

Thinking laterally for obituraries

GUYMON, OKLA. - Myrtle B. Shields, 93, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2005.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Straight First Christian Church with the Rev. Kenny McKinley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shields was born March 6, 1912, north of Guymon in the Eula community. She was a charter member of Straight First Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, Gary Shields of rural Guymon; six grandchildren; a brother, Leo Hinds of Amarillo, Texas; and a sister, >>>>Bernice Whittington of La Mirada, Calif.<<<<<

The family suggests memorials be to Straight First Christian Church or Guymon Home Health and Hospice, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.

You could consider contacting the funeral home and see if they will pass on a letter to Gary Shields, a cousin and see if he knows where they live.

Forget Gary - he may have died before his time

GUYMON, Okla. - Gary Lee Shields. 58, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007.

Mr. Shields was a farmer and John Deere parts manager in Guymon, Liberal, Kan., and Elkhart, Kan., for 27 years, retiring in 1998. He served as a board member for Straight Christian Church, Straight School Board and Liberal Area Vo-Tech.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Shields; three sons, Jeff Shields of Weatherford, Bryan Shields of Austin, Texas, and Kevin Shields of Elkhart; a daughter, Tonya Homer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and six grandchildren.
