She seems to have a lot of middle names but not seeing a birth for her

Maybe you will need the marriage cert for her fathers name.

Also there are no Dorothy Peters born in 1926

There are too many Leonard Morton's to say which one he was, without a year of birth and fathers name could help...so it looks like the marriage cert is needed.

Cannot see anything for Joan before marriage...the name maybe French or channel Islands

If you look for Levot births in free bmd from 1890 to 1945, the only other one showing is also in Wandsworth (but after Joan's marriage):

Births Mar 1928
Levot Mary M Levot Wandsworth 1d 829

and this is the only other marriage:
Marriages Dec 1934
Levot Emiliene Davies Uxbridge 3a 262

Connected?

Added:
Emilliene Levot born 1907 France is in someone's tree on here.

I have a few pieces of the puzzle. The following is from my mother. She is now in her eighties and memories do fade. Also as she was adopted, so she was not fully in the loop and her memories may also be slightly “selective” as there was some friction between her natural mother (Amelia or Emelliene Levot) and her adopted mother (Gertrude Elizabeth).

Emelliene and Joan Levot were half sisters. There was a gang of girls who always stuck together. Emeliene and Joan, Yvonne, Charmaine and Mary. They all worked at the Castle Laundry in Frogmore Road Wandsworth. They were brought to England by the House of Nazareth from northern France – possibly Alsace Lorraine. Joan had a daughter Dorothy. Joan married Frederick S Peters and had a son David. David died young of Diptheria? I think Dorothy became involved with a chap in the army who had some health problems.
Emelliene married Trevor Davies – he claimed to be a relative of Ivor Novello – they had a son Ivor. (IVOR LEVOT DAVIES) I have been in touch with the Archivist of The House of Nazareth, Dr. Peter Hughes, who holds the records of all the locations, some 80,000 children, and he was unable to locate any Levots. He also looked for possible groups including the names Charmaine, Yvonne etc but without success. A very thorough search for which he deserves much praise. However………… (builds up suspense!) I do have a picture of Joan – not very good because it is blown up from a very small picture in a locket given to my mother by “auntie Joan” for whom she had real affection. I am off for 2 weeks hols on Saturday but when i return i will put some photos, including joan, on my tree. Regards
Phil
