Hi Belinda.... are you still looking for 'James' families in Mudgee? Or has this changed somewhat now? Do you have definite name/s to work from? If you think they were in Mudgee NSW then the library should be able to find/trace them from earlier electoral rolls.

If you're not sure which State they went to .... you could try the 'National Library of Aus' ....they have same 'Ask a Librarian' service....and cover all States.

Hi everyone,

Sorry this is not them.Ernie was born 1909 in the UK. I have done some more research and I think he emmigrated in the 1950's. His last child born in the UK was born possibily
1948 so it would be after then.

Does anyone have access to info which would tell me when he actually emmigrated?

Sorry for the mistake.

Thanks again

Cont... the NSW/BMD on-line shows George Thomas James & Emily James had these chn:
1891 Ernest John d1971
1893 Charles S
1895 Alice EJ
1898 Eric K d 1965
1901 Raymond R d 1970
1902 Allison B
1905 Russell GB

also appears a death of George William James 1963 (parents George T & Emily James)

George Thomas James d 1921 (parents Samuel & Harriett)
Emily James d 1935 (parents John & Sarah)

The 'Ryerson's look-ups could reveal names of family/descendants ..... then possibly the 'White Pages' will help you find some of them.

The 'NSW State Library' (on-line) has an 'Ask a Librarian' service ...they can check electoral rolls for current addresses.

Have you tried Search Trees on this site?

If you find a possible match you can contact the tree owner to see if you have a connection.

What about Australian white pages?

Hi,
I am interested in knowing if there are any relatives for the James family still living in the Yarrabin, Mudgee NSW, Australia.
Either for George William, Raymond Roy or Russell Garnett Burnett James. Their father was Ernie James and mother Emily Burbidge orginally from Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, UK.

I would be interested in any info regarding this side of our family. Ernie was my grandfathers youngest brother, who I believe died in the 1970's in Australia.

Look forward to hearing from anyone.

Belinda.
