Sorry to be the bearer of sad news Shirley, but he died on the 4th December 2008 in Accrington aged 78. The following is his obituary from the Lancashire Evening Telegraph:-

Eric LEVEY On Thursday, December 4, 2008, peacefully at his home, Eric aged 78 years. Loving husband of Joan, dear brother-in-law of Joyce, uncle of John Paul, Mark, Ronnie and a much loved uncle to Kayleigh. A good friend of many who will be sadly missed but never forgotten by all who loved and knew him. Rest in peace. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Kirby and Hughes Chapel of Rest at 10.15 a.m. prior to interment in Accrington Cemetery.

please has anyone any information on my uncle who as far as i am aware is still alive, his name is eric levey born in liverpool in 1930, his mothers name was lillian martha ann levey, her maiden name was lillian martha ann onslow, she was born in oswestry area in wales, she also had my father harry peter levey in 1923 also in liverpool, she had a daughter called doreen, anyone have any information on where he could be living or anyone related to eric levey? lilians mother originally came from weymouth and her mothers name was mary tabitha rolls before she married harry onslow, harry was a soldier based in weymouth where he met mary tabitha and later married and moved to wales, please let me know if anyone has any information on eric or any of the family, many thanks, shirley
