Hi

I am looking for any living relatives of:

Agnes Bone b 1878 in Cumberland, England m
Henry Gainford b 1873 in Cumberland - they married in 1897 and had 2 children Isaac and Mary Ann born in England before they emigrated to NZ with her sister

Mary Eleanor Bone b1883 also in Cumberland m
Daniel Tyson Satterthwaite b 1883 in Cumberland

they all left directly after Mary and Daniel married in Sept 1908

They travelled on The Marathon,Aberdeen Agnes and her husband Henry Gainford +3 children.

Daniel.and his wife Mary Eleanor had 1 son Thomas + 3 daus.viz Hannah,Mary+Norma.

I would love to hear from anyone who is related to me.

Hi there ...

You could try the 'National Library of NZ' on-line - it has an 'Ask Us librarian service ...they will check electoral rolls - past & present - and newspaper death notices.

Have you looked in 'search trees'? The first place to try...................

Seems not, as Daniel appears to be in two GR trees

Hannah Satterthwaite Born NZ 14 June 1911 . died 1997.

Married 1) 1929 Thomas Wilkinson (there are a lot of Thomas Wilkinsons but could be him that died Wellington 1932)
Married 2) 1946 Alder Francis Walding – he died 1983

Norma Satterthwaite born 21 Sept 1921
married 1946 Jack Cobb. He died 1991. and she died in February this year.

Thomas Satterthwaite b 7 July 1909 m 1936 Eileen Daphne White.. b 1914 they both died 1974

Birth records in NZ are such that we cannot look up anything more recent than 100 years old.. one can look them up on the microfiche at the central library but this record does not give you the parents names. However, Thomas and Daphne were living in Manawatu in 1957 and there was a Ralph Satterthwaite living not far from them in the same area so hecould be their son. Don't usually find two of them that near each other unless related. I will send you a couple of phone numbers and addresses re him.

Mary Sattherwaite .. married William Gilbert Bassett 1939 he died 1974 and there are two Mary Bassett deaths... one born 29 Sept 1912 died 2000 and the other born 15 Jan 1918 died 1986.
