Find Living Relatives

Thanks for the help. I realized this was a long shot, but you never know.
I have all the census and other information. I'm trying to answer some questions that are unlikely to turn up in any public record.
It doesn't seem all that unlikely that there would be people living today who knew someone who died 40 years ago, so it seemed worth a try.

But, if there were no children, the chances of anyone having known him and being able to give you personal details about him must be minimal...................it's forty years since he died

It is very unlikely that anyone who knows him will see this message.
Have you got his death certificate for name of informant, and marriage certificates for names of witnesses to see if they are possible family members?

I am searching for any relatives, friends or acquaintances of an uncle of mine.
His name was Arnold Charles Kendall Butler, and he was a company director (company unknown) in Liverpool in the late 1940s and 1950s.
He was the son of George William Butler and Florence Isabel Kendall. He was born in Crosby, LIncolnshire, in 1906 and died in Conway, Caernarvonshire, Wales, in 1971.
His first wife was Millicent Porkess, from whom he was divorced in 1949. He then married Dinah Simister in Liverpool in 1949. She was also a company director, presumably a colleague.
I have not found any records of children from either marriage.
However, I would be very interested in contacting anyone who may have known Arnold or his wife, and who may be able to clear up some mysteries for me.
