I have given Amy a link to someone who could possibly be her half sister

We have the childrens births and the remarriage of the mother the Place Plaistow is not anything to do with these children

As it happens I spent my first two years in Plaistow but that was in East London :-D

Hello Amy
There is a place called Plaistow in Derbyshire, could the maiden name be Angus and she was born in Plaistow, if so her birth record would have been registered at Belper.

Spelling of names is not unusual, maybe she prefered that spelling? .

But did you not notice she had friends in the name of Angus?

That is the only way as she is not on 192.com (which costs money)

You could try friends reunited...but as facebook has really taken over from that you stand more of chance of an answer from this

Thanks again everyone. I sent her a message on Facebook but not had a response yet. I also wasn't sure if it'd be the right person as her name is spelt differently.

Does anyone know of any other effective ways of tracing someone and trying to make contact?

Thank you for the responses and help.

I am afraid I don't know if Sonya is married or where they would be living. My father has not had any contact with them since they were very young. I believe he lost all custody after the divorce.

My mum showed me documents with the name Plaistow and the 'i' was crossed out which is why it could also be Plastow.
I believe Sonya and Michael's mother is called Christine but was known by many people as Pam.

Their mother remarried in 1981 so did they take their stepfathers name?

I want to try and contact them but there are no family tree records.
Their birth names were Sonya Louise Willbond (born 1974) and Michael Paul Willbond (born 1978). They were born in Nottingham and we have the same father.
On Genes Reunited the mother's maiden name is recorded as 'Angus' but I was told their surname would be Plastow or Plaistow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
