Clifford WOOD, Audrey WOOD descendants

I am trying to trace any descendants of Clifford Wood or his daughter Audrey.

Clifford was the son of Harry YEARBY who was born in Coalville, Leicestershire in 1887. Following the death of his mother, Charlotte WOOD (from Tamworth) he went to live with his uncle David WOOD and his wife Sarah, in Oldham, Lancashire in the 1890s and adopted the surname WOOD. In some earlier records he used YEARBY as a middle name but this later died out.

Harry married Mary GIBSON in Oldham in 1905 using the surname WOOD and the had a son Clifford WOOD in 1905. I can find no record of any other children born to them.

Clifford married Isabel Eva CONN in Oldham in 1928 and they had a daughter Audrey WOOD born in Oldham in 1930. I have not found records of any other children born to them. I also have not found any other life events for this family in the Oldham area.

I have been unable to trace any descendants of this family or any details of what happened to any of them.

If you have any information which might throw light on this family or suggestions as to how I might trace descendants, I would be very pleased to hear from you.

Thanks - I hadn't looked for a death of Isabel - The Isabel you have looked up certainly seems to be the right one. I have Clifford and Isabel's marriage cert and she was aged 21 at the time of marriage in 1928. (Her father was Robert Conn - deceased). They were married in St Paul's church in Oldham.

Remarriage is certainly a possibility. Unless Mary was a good bit younger than Clifford there won't be any descendants from that marriage.

The only birth I can find in Oldham for a WOOD with a mother's maiden name of CONN is Audrey in 1930. There are no marriages of Audrey in Oldham but lots elsewhere - too many to know which it could be.
