hi thanks for all your help but i have finally managed to make sense of what my grandad was trying to explain most of his brothers and sisters have different surnames such as stokes, deakin and booton. I have finally managed to find all his brothers and sisters thank you all for helping me and sorry again for any problems caused.

Nelly may be a shortened version of another Christian name. There is a thread on GR with suggestions. Will try and find it.

Edit;

This isn't making sense. Pauline is a Booton, but she's George's sister's daughter?

Why do you not ask your grandfather for his siblings' names?

The 3 brothers showing in free bmd are Horace, George and Harry.

Do you know when your grandparents married (and is her name Doris?)

My grandad is still alive. He is a booton, he married my nan who is formerly a hall. She is older than my grandad he was born in 1927. He has a brother called harry, arthur and frank but i know he has more but i cannot find them. :-( :-(

I cannot see a birth for Pauline with the same Mother's maiden name as your grandfather has.
Do you know the names of any other siblings, and is your grandfather still alive?

I'm sorry I got mixed up Pauline Parson is my grandads neice, her mother, my grandads sister is called nelly.
The area is Birmingham.

I'm trying to find my grandads sister all i know is her name which is pauline parsons but was booton before marriage.
My grandads name is george booton born in 1927.
If anyone could help me i would be extremly grateful.
