Greetings.

Trying to find a cousin who was born in 1959 in Birmingham. He was the son of a Mary Nicoll and Charles Stevens and at some point I think was in the police force.

Hope someone out there can give me pointers.

Have you tried the search trees, friends reunited, facebook or 192.com?

I have looked at various trees on here, and contacted the people who are possibilities, but no response. Nothing jumps out at me on Friends Reunited, but as for 192.com I did a free search as was daunted by the amount of results.
I have a question about 192.com. If I buy credits, does anyone know how detailed the search is, i.e. what information do you get other than name? The address wouldn't be much use as I have no idea where he is now, so all I've got to go on is age and name.

Regards

Rhys

Have you got a past address for him? If so you could try a street search on Friends Reunited, looking for neighbours perhaps.

Alas no, oddly there are photos of him when he was a teenager or thereabouts but other than the rumour of the Police there isn't much to go on really.

Would a death certificate of either parent help, I've ordered plenty of birth and marriage certificates but not a death certificate yet.

A dth cert can prove to be quite helpful, as if he registered either death you might get his address also.
