I have been helped a great deal by this community so I hope someone will be able to help again please.

A friend has just discovered that she has 3 half siblings, all of whom emigrated to Austraila under the £10 scheme.
One, maiden name Enid Parker, will be in her 60s now;
two others, John and Karen Phillips (maiden name), went to Sydney and there is mention that one of them 'went up north'.

I know this isn't much and the names are common but if the immigration records can be found they might yield more information. Also it just MIGHT be possible to find the married names.

She hopes to find a way to contact local newspapers in an attempt to find them.

If finding records isn't possible can anyone suggest any other way she could find more information, for example any relevent TV programmes?

I have absolutely no more information than what I have given here - sorry.

Hopefully,
Heather :-S

The passanger lists only go up to 1960...would they have gone after that?

There is only 1 Karen Phillips to Australia by ship.

Birth Year1958.

Departure 1958,Southampton.

Destination Departure- Sydney.

This FMP list doesnt include those who went by flying as many did.

ages could help though.

That Karen Phillips could be the right one as my understanding is that these folk were all taken as children, Kay.
Jax, they may have gone after 1960 and Gwyn, thank you, I'll see what that might yield.

Thank you all for your help.
