my cousin who i just found through our trees told me her sister was adopted.luckily her sister has been looking for yrs and found her mother,s name on my other cousin,s tree.I quickly found her also on fb as she has a different surname which she,d given to my cousin. The sisters are now intouch, but sadly my aunt has passed away.It is a fantastic thing to welcome her into the family and show her photos, but it has been so overwhelming for her that she,s stepped back a bit.Hopefully when she has time to recover they can meet.

however, i have the names of the adoptive parents, date and location of adoption.

------------------------------------
If you do not have a subscription to trace them, if you email me direct, I can do a search for the adoptive parents.

Even if you decide not to contact them,
at least, you will know where they are etc so you are nearer to finding Jane.

thanks for that, the only name i have for her is the name my mother gave her at birth. however, i have the names of the adoptive parents, date and location of adoption. Oh and i have emailed a few people with the name on their family trees but either i dont get a reply or its not her.

The chances of Jane or her "family" seeing this are slim to virtually nothing, and (maybe I'm wrong) but I'd have thought most adoptive parents would be honest and tell a child (when they are of an age whereby they could accept their background), that they are adopted. Saying her full birth name may not be acceptable on here because the odds are she's still very much alive. However......if her name has been changed and doesn't know any the wiser of her adoption, then stating it here is going to do nobody no harm.

As this involves adoption Michelle, you could try Norcap (just google the word). I believe there's a fee involved but this is, after all, your sister so money and cost shouldn't come into it. Alternatively, if you know the name she has been brought up as, drop me a line & I'll see what I can do ~ that doesn't mean I'll find her, I may not be able to do anything at all, but I'll certainly look

Have you looked to see if she has put herself on this site in her birth name in the search trees?

Hi I am trying to find my adopted sister who was born June 1968 and adopted in 1969 from the Wymondham/Norwich area of Norfolk. Birth name Jane Elizabeth. I dont want to say her full birth name on this just incase it causes her distress with her family. If your out there please get in contact. Michelle <3
