Hello,
I am asking a big ask.

For 5 years now I have been trying to locate my husbands mother (Angela Dominica Reid) and brother (Martin Steven Reid).

My husband was given away to the father and brought up in Trinidad.

We checked my husbands birth certificate and found Angela & Martin were living in Barnet the same listed address found on my husbands birth certificate, right up to 1982. They lived at that address for 18 years.

In 1983 they moved and I have a suspicion that they moved to 53 Essex Park, London N3 1ND.

If you are willing to help and live close...Would some nice person pop in to Barnet Local Studies & Archives Centre at 80 Daws Lane, Mill Hill, London NW7 4SL to check the Electoral Registers to see if Angela Dominica Reid & Martin Steven Reid were living at 53 Essex Park, London N3 1ND?

This would be a big help and if my guess is correct a major break through.

Thank you for your time.

Angie

Have you tried an address search on Friends Reunited, particularly for the address on your husband's birth cert? There might be neighbours listed there who remember them.

Angie,

Why not phone or email the Archive centre. I would imagine that for such a simple enquiry they may oblige and do the look-up for you.

Hi Jonesey,
I e-mailed The Archives last month and asked them if they could look it up for me. They said no! :-(

Hi brummiejan,
I also checked Friends Reunited Addresses last month. Nothing there either. :-(

Miserable so and so's.

Just a suggestion. Make a post on the Hertfordshire county board at www.rootschat.com (A free site). That may illicit the help of someone who lives local to the archive centre.

Good luck
