Hi Gillian

I had the same problem so I contacted the GRO in Southport and had no trouble ordering my certificate over the phone. It also arrived within a week.

So what if you click yes??

Gillian

Gillian Report 9 Sep 2011 22:36

if you click no to having gro ref, it asks for full date of death on next page. It is from 1996 and i am trying to get the informants address as it will be my mother in laws aunt, whom she has lost contact with since her mother died

Is the death very recent?
Try ordering without the reference numbers - make sure you do not tick 'yes' box when it asks if you have these. I seem to recall it is a loophole and you can order any recent cert if you do this. I was under the impression that you don't need the date for death certs in any case though.

it is £9.25

It says you can get them to look at the full year, but will not submit form without actual date of death, and I only have month and year, and this vol & pg number, very flustrating!
