If you look on FreeBMD she had a brother. Unfortunately he died in 2004.

Thanks for your input. I don't have a 192 subscription and on the free searches I am not seeing any Rita or the possible second husband D-----
in Kent.

I will ask my Mom if she remembers any siblings for Rita as it may be they are on someone's tree as Rita is not.

Thanks x

Had a look and can't see anything obvious.

On another post yesterday someone mentioned searching the GRO index with the first names only and a birthdate. Is that a facility on this site or elsewhere?
( although I have been a member for a while I have not done anything for the last 9 months and there have been numerous changes on here}

:-)

that marriage while unusual is certainly possible, there is no birth for a Rita M Prince that looks like a likely candidate and there are no births to that marriage ( assuming that the wife's birth name was Prince ), and on the 2002-2007 electoral roll she is aged 65+

however that is the last listing for both spouses and there is no counterpart listing at BT on line ... so it seems likely that they died after 2007

the deaths index is only accessible to 2005 so this cannot be verified unfortunately

note she was actually born in Kent so that increases the likelihood that the marriage was her perhaps

Yes, Rita's middle initial is M. Thank you for your interest.

Mom and Rita were good friends and I would love to be able to find out where she is now.

have done some basic checks on 192 and discounted a couple of options in the Solihull area where she married ( 1960s)

Thanks again for any help.

I am looking for a work colleague of my mom's from 1950s. they were both hairdressers in Birmingham.
The person i am looking for is Rita birtles born in Kent in 1927.
she married Edward Prince in 1964. I may have found his death in 1989 and a very vague possible remarriage for Rita back in Kent in 1995?

any further help/ ideas gratefully received. Hope I haven't put anything too personal as Rita may still be alive.

Many thanks
