Where was she living at that time?

Did she have children?

What is her approximate age?

What relation is she to your partner?

But as you suggested widowed, a long time before that?

Just seen you put NW England, so probably not.

Have you tried free bmd for marriage - however, I am not having much success. Were Fred or Linda middle names?

if you are searching for her on this site you will need to search by her birth name of course and have an idea of her date and place of birth

if you know her birth surname it could be possible to find whether she and Fred had children and possibly to locate them

Researching:
the 'Walking Madonna' at Salisbury Cathedral ... if genes members find your family do thank them by name on the Success Stories board !

My partner has been looking for Linda for several years, since he lost his address book. Need to update Linda on various family matters. She was married to Fred Broadbent but may well be divorced/widowed now. Any clues to Linda's whereabouts will be gratefully received, hopefully before another Christmas comes and goes! I think Linda will now be in her 60's.
