	What was the surname her birth was registered under and where was she likely to have been born/live? Is it possible that she assumed her step father's name? We can't really make a confident search unless we know the correct names. Assuming you know where her step-father died, and that she lived with him, it is likely that any home would be within the same NHS or SServices or Council area. That would be one area you could explore yourself.

	Is Plested her surname, or Wither? Do you know where she was born and her maiden name then? Any idea of area of country? Thanks

If anyone has any information relating to gwen please contact me. She would be about 80 years old if she is still with us . Thanks
