hi there in search of my partners farther james charles buck born in blaydon 1940 can anyone help he was also adopted

~ is that his "adopted" name or birth name? There is one that I can see who's 65+, married about 41 years & in Yorkshire but thats as much as I can state on public boards...

it is his birth name he will be about 71 years of age he was born in blaydon and then went on to framwelgate moor care home and then we think he went on to leeds he also drove busses :-S sorry not sure he was adopted maybe just fostered he was also in the merchant navy

Have you tried the electoral rolls on 192.com - have the messages you sent through this site been opened, if so, the envelope in your sent items will be white. If it is still mauve, it is unopened.

sent Roxanne the telephone number for the one you found

MUST be worth a telephone call, just to ask if he was born in Durham & 1940

If Roxanne's partner knows his dad's name, surely it has got to be the one he used when the partner was born.

The way I read the birth indexes, he was adopted in 1946
perhaps by his birth mum having remarried etc ( the maiden name written in 1940 must be wrong )
