	If George is 33 in 1943, he is born 1909/1910. There is no George Casey born in Co Durham showing on free bmd. (There are John Casey's born then, but not John George.) This is the nearest possible Casey/Jordan marriage (and it might not even be of those two) Marriages Sep 1906 xxx CASEY Thomas Gateshead 10a 1729 Hughes Isabella Gateshead 10a 1729 xxx JORDAN Margaret Gateshead 10a 1729 STOREY Adam Gateshead 10a 1729 So was he born in Scotland?

	1943 CASEY GEORGE COOK BEATRICE MURIEL WICK /CAITHNESS 043/00 0033 No mention of second name of John ? Can see no Beatrice M/Muriel COOK birth for Scotland either.

	Sorry, but you have not told us his Father's name from the marriage certificate. Also, is his age mentioned on it? I think it is a large assumption that he is from Hebburn.

Member Since: April 2011 Posts: 4 Send Message	Many thanks folks for the speedy response. I do have the marriage certificate from Wick, Caithness presumably where he was stationed in 1943. I too have been unable to trace a birth, hence my enquiry for help. His address on the marriage certificate is given as Price Street, Hebburn, consequently I have to assume from where he hailed.
